We have a vibrant life available to us in the person of Jesus. This life, this indwelling of His Spirit, this personal union with the One who is Jesus of Nazareth and the Son of our Father is your life. Read More…
Father made a way of replicating His Son in human beings. First the Son would be incarnated as Jesus of Nazareth in the world. Then, following His resurrection and Pentecost, He would be incarnated in those who believed and took His name. Read More…
The gospel of the Kingdom is so simple many miss it. Jesus said ‘It is Me.’ This is what He meant when He declared Himself the way, the truth and the life. The Kingdom is as simple as Christ your life. Nothing more, nothing less. Christ manifest in you, the Spirit of Jesus manifest as you. Christ manifest as all of us is the new creation Kingdom of God.
When Jesus proclaimed Himself the vine with ourselves as the branches, He was telling us that it is He who joins us to our Father; He who grafts us into to our origins and place of birth; He who connects us to the source of our identity and our real life - our real life as opposed to the phantom lives that enshroud us when we live in anything not Christ, any addition to Christ or any subtraction from His new covenant arrangement of Christ in us the hope and actuality of glory.
The Kingdom of God will never grow from any entity that is not personally Jesus.
The truth of this age is Christ come in our flesh - in mine, in yours, in all who take His name. The Christian life is not an adherence to morality and principle. It is Christ’s life as yours. Until we are willing to exchange our lives for His we can expect that ‘the one ring will rule them all’ and the kingdom of orcs to perpetuate itself along with the Saruman’s of institutionalism and the stewards who would be kings but are not.
All are sons and daughters of God, even the wicked. Those for whom Christ is life are daughters and sons in spirit and in truth. There is more to our life and than Christianity. We can drift along in routine religion as a shadow of our real selves. But there is a real Jesus who will make us a real person whose origins as a son/daughter are continually emerging and whose redemption as a new creation is becoming more and more apparent in freedom and fruit.
If we are living from Christian morality and culture we are embedded in the law just as much as an legalist stuck on Moses’ commandments. Christ our life means that He is there to manifest through us in spirit and in truth.
As daughters and sons we take on the humanity of Christ as the new man who transcends Adam to fulfil the original plan. This is the plan of the trinity to have sons to enjoy and with which to celebrate the joy of living. This is why Jesus’ obsession was not ethics and morality and certainly not sin. He was life and His obsession is life to the full. The life of God is manifest as spirit. It is an indefinable yet real essence that separates and contrasts life from the various gradations of death.
Jesus has the Spirit without limit and offers all life to the full. This passion for fullness of life is why He has nothing in common with those who acquiesce in any limitation of life or promote limited and lesser gospels on the ground that this is ‘their perspective’ and their claim to some unique contribution to Christianity.
Let’s be clear. There is no addition to or subtraction from the gospel of Jesus and the teaching of the apostles that is ever legitimate. It is impossible to improve on the reality of Christ our life but easy enough to resile from His fullness through revisionist doctrine and old covenant meandering.
‘Christ is all and in all,’ is the good news Jesus proclaimed as Himself and the apostles teaching that Paul explained and applied.
The life of the Spirit, which is the kingdom of God grows out of God. Never from the law, religion or mans machinations. Spirit and life is entirely Christ our life with no additions or dilutions. We can talk Holy Spirit as much as we like but if we are rooted in law and not in Father we can never generate life let alone prevail.
Some years back I attended Road To Bethlehem, which is an excellent celebration of the birth of Jesus and the coming of the new Genesis into the world. That night in a dream the Lord showed me a platform on which were several fountains. From one flowed beer, from another wine, another produce hydrochloric acid and from another flowed the water of life. Christians were drinking from all of them seemingly ignorant that spirit and life was to be found in only one.
So let's embrace Christ as our life and eschew substitutes, revisionist gospels and old covenant mindsets. There is life in none of these and little godliness. Jesus was not crucified to endorse “Our Perspective" and He does not live to promote tares which are another manifestation of the fountains of non-life.
Let's not be put out if it is revealed that ‘our gospel’ is not the gospel of the Kingdom, or sulk and reproach others if their passion for Jesus is unconditional and ours is limited by loyalty to a fictional identity that comes close to being a false christ.
Be willing to abandon our gangrenous tissues of religion in exchange for the spirit and life that longs to ignite the flesh of new creation beings. There are no unique perspectives that may legitimately be added to the new covenant, no authentic additions to the gospel of Jesus and Paul and not one fragment of the law that has any place in your life in the Spirit of Christ. Certainly there are no "improvements" arrived at by adding the dregs from an old covenant wineskin to Christ who is our life.
The anointing and life in the Spirit has no validity independent of our Father. Holy Spirit and the gifts flourish because we have been made one with Father as Jesus is one. We are one with God when we are one with Jesus. Never when we are one with some abstraction such as the law. Read More…
