Christ Expressed as You and as Us

The love of God is a state of being and acting. We have seen this in Jesus Christ. God’s love in action is what is His being. It is not an abstraction but the manifestation of Godself as the trinity. This is the Father of the sons and daughters of God.

God’s love is not an abstraction but a description of who God is as the trinity and who God is as life itself. While life and love are analytically distinct, they are one in God. Thus God so loves the world that His only Son comes among us with the declaration, ‘IN HIM IS LIFE AND THE LIFE IS THE LIGHT OF HUMANITY.’

Life without love is not life in God’s terms and real life is LIGHT that is God - God’s truth and love that emanates from God as living truth by His Spirit. Thus God’s truth is never an abstraction like the law or the knowledge of good and evil. Truth is God. Our truth is us in God. We are one with God.

The law is not being, is not alive and is not life. LIFE IS ONENESS WITH GOD – which is your inheritance.

John writes, ‘In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. There came a man who was sent from God. His name was John. He came as a witness to testify about the Light, so that through him everyone might believe. He himself was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light. The true Light who gives light to every man was coming into the world.

The life, love and light of God are His person. In Him we possess the light of life.

“The Love of God revealed to us in the economic manifestation of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the history of our salvation, tells us that God loves us with the very same love with which he loves himself, in the reciprocal love of the three divine Persons for Each Other in the eternal Communion of the Holy Trinity.” Thus we see that the love that God has for us is the love that God is. This is the love that flows between the members of the trinity.” (1) It embraces us in Jesus Christ.

Oneness with God is ours in Christ. Here we participate in the oneness of the trinity – in their life and joy of simply being. It is as this oneness becomes our oneness that we have the capacity to be love, life and joy. Now the observers see that our life and joy are real because we are far more than attached to good principles and ideal behaviours. We are love, light and light as the John, Sam and Judith. John speaks this out when he writes,

‘That they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. ‘The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.’ John 17.21-23 NIV.
