BEING LIFE IS BEING A SON/DAUGHTER

TELL THEM.001
Irenaeus wrote, “John, proclaiming one God, the Almighty, and one Jesus Christ, the Only-begotten, by whom all things were made, declares that this was the Son of God, this the Only-begotten, this the Former of all things, this the true Light who enlighteneth every man, this the Creator of the world, this He that came to His own, this He that became flesh and dwelt among us.”

CHRIST EXPRESSED AS YOU

This is the first part of the incarnation. The second part is CHRIST COME IN OUR FLESH. The Spirit of Sonship means that you, Bob and Joy become the expression of Christ. Not by side-lining yourself into the law or Christian works but by resting in Christ and agreeing with Him that He is one with your being and manifesting Himself as you, which is to say as our person. Mediation of Christ is direct.

CHRIST REVEALING HIMSELF TO YOU

The cool thing about the incarnation is the sharing of God’s selfhood in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus was a manifestation of the trinity. In Jesus dwelled the fullness of God. God was in Christ reconciling you and I to Himself. Christ is in us joining us in Himself to God.

KNOWING GOD

John Calvin declares that God is the complete and only revelation of God. To know Jesus is to know God. All things that are not God are idols and as a result degrading. This so whether that are obvious representations like animals or subtle representations like the law, holy days, holy places and religion. With some the number one idol is their church.

Calvin writes, “This exclusive definition, which we uniformly meet with in Scripture, annihilates every deity which men frame for themselves of their own accord–God himself being the only fit witness to himself.” A distorted christ nurtured in the nest of an altered gospel is a false christ of the kind Jesus warned us is a tare.

Jesus is Himself. He is our one mediator. He is our life and righteousness now and forever. In Jesus we are who we are – never a false self or an idol of ourselves, but the I AM of ourselves in the I AM of Christ.
