INFORMED INHERITANCE

The Lord has blessed the church with some apostolic teachers and writers in this season. As emissaries from Jesus they do what Jesus did - reveal our Father in His loving glory, clarify and uncover our Christ Inheritance in its fullness and declare who we are as sons of God in spirit and in truth.

They dissolve veils of deception and in doing so demolish strongholds that bind believers in deceit and impotence. Many of them are scholars and theologians. Others are writers of considerably literary skill - whose works, while not written as a theology are nevertheless
the theology Jesus wants us to embrace in these times because they are Jesus’ theology and His Gospel of the Kingdom. What they have in common is a commitment to Jesus as the way, the truth and the life that is uncompromising in its purity. Their anointing is just as real and important as any gift of healing. Because they and their teaching are healing.

SEEING GOD/SEEING YOU

‘The pure in heart will see God.’ This was so in the case of Jesus and it is certainly so in those who have made Him and his cause their life. It is their uncompromising commitment to Jesus as the truth that opens them to wisdom and revelation - a level of spiritual discernment that shines as a revelationary beacon to all who possess and uncompromising commitment to the truth.

A RELIGION OF VEILS

Not all do. Some are more committed to their truth than God’s truth because their identity is in the former. Some live in the fiction that they can have their private theologies and own gospels and still call Jesus Lord. Some will accept truth as long as it does not challenge what they have always believed.

Others talk of following Christ but have an agenda. They live to maintain their theology and denominational beliefs. In other words, they live inside a bottle of their preconceptions and they have two masters. They make some progress in the Christian life but are never themselves sources of the spirit of wisdom and revelation. In the matter of imparting the revelation of Jesus they are a dry spring.

HOW TO SEE

The impure in heart do not see God clearly. Indeed, they see much of life as blur. While they make some incremental advances, they keep the captives where they are. Because they themselves live in a smoked glass and see the world darkly. In Falling Upwards, Richard Rohr writes, “
If change and growth are not programmed into your spirituality, if there are not serious warnings about the blinding nature of fear and fanaticism, your religion will always end up worshiping the status quo and protecting your present ego position and personal advantage as if it were God.”

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. The pure in Heart see God and grow in knowing who God is. The divided in heart cannot see God and do not know themselves – because they and their ‘truth’ are their god.
