IT'S SO NOT THE LAW

If you have been raised in certain cultures you may have come to the belief that the law and the keeping of the law is the chief issue of salvation and the transformation/re-creation of the world. It is not.

NOT THE LAW

The New Creation is not dependent on the Torah or the alignment of any or all with the law (of Moses) or any other literary prescription hanging somewhere in the either – even though the major problem of civilisation is lawlessness, tyrannical laws and self-serving dictatorships. THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE that Paul names is not an abstraction, not a legality, not the Torah and not moralism. It’s Christ expressing His personhood in us.

WHAT KIND OF ONENESS?
The oneness that is ours and which we can live from, if we are teachable, is the oneness modelled in the trinity which is the power realised in Jesus who  ‘Will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth’ Eph 1.10. Everything together, yet fully itself in agency and purpose as in the nature of the trinity and the nature of the creation to which God has given birth.
TRINITY EXPRESSED
Thus, Jesus is not acting on His own in bringing everything together in Himself. Jesus is being the nature of God in doing so. Thus, when we are hidden in Christ we are revealed as our true selves in spirit and in truth and as such the true church that is the new creation kingdom of God. It is this incarnated Church by which heaven invades earth.
Thomas Torrance writes, “
It is, then, the two-way relation between the Father and the Son illuminated for us in the Holy Spirit that provides the frame both for our knowledge of God in his inner trinitarian relations and our knowledge of the Son in his inner hypostatic relations as God and man in one Person.
CHRISTIANITY MEANS..
The doctrines of the Trinity and of the incarnation thus form together the nucleus at the heart of the Christian conception of God and constitute the ontological and epistemological basis for the formulation of every Christian doctrine.”(1)
It’s not the law. But it is the oneness of all and of the  new creation in Christ multiplied in us.
Unity, community, harmony and well-being are birthed from persons – not from sterile abstractions that are dead in themselves. Christianity is a person, not a religion. We must understand this before we can become a real person and a son of God and before we can offer real life, rather than moralism and Christian platitudes.
