LOVERS OF LIFE AND LOVE

I bumped into some interesting people on my last trip to India. One was a girl from Denmark. We met her while waiting for our delayed flight from Delhi to Mussoorie. Four of us older gents fell into conversation, garnered her under our wing and brought her a coffee and a biscuit. This young woman was a lover of life and anxious to spread it in her own way. My colleague, an Indian pastor, shared his testimony and told her that he had seen Jesus [Which he had in a night vision]. We met other life-lovers and life-givers who were not Christians – just good people who shared with others what was best in their humanity.
NOT THE INSIPID LETTER
Nevertheless, it is my passion and the mission of all in our house, not to leave people with notional life – but to draw them into the Source and reality of life without limit who is Christ Himself.
It grieves me that so many Christians live in Christianity but do not live in Christ. Living in religion and live incarnation is as different as drinking the milk carton instead of the milk.
FLESH IS NOT KINGDOM
‘The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life’ John 6.63 NIV. Religion, aka Christianity is religion. It’s not life. Christ incarnated in you is spirit and life AS YOU.
When Believers live in droplets of glory rather than in fullness, they are unable to express the fullness of Christ as the Body. Living in a fraction of the whole it leaves us as dead men talking releasing very little spirit and life. Here rather than ‘doing good’ as we might imagine because we have some ministry or overseas venture, we may be a liability to the new creation. Rather than being fountains of spirit and life we have a trickle of muted good works. It is in the Spirit and by the Spirit of Sonship that God reveals the glory that is ours in Him.
Christ our life makes us rivers of spirit and life.
‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared for those who love him. But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets’ 1 Cor 2.9.10 NIV. It also produces DEEP LIFE.
SONS NOW
The deep, open secret of God, is that you are son/daughter not notionally and not theoretically but now and actually in the moment and the season in spirit and in truth. This is Father’s glory and our glory because living in this reality we are present ourselves to the world in spirit and life.
IT'S NOT RELIGIOUS
The simplicity of the gospel of the Kingdom is the person of Jesus and the nature our Father reproduced in us by Christ incarnated. We live Christ’s life because Christ is our life – not because we are following a set of rules or abstractions. We are living out who we are as sons in union with Father. We are sons not as clones of each other or even as clones of Jesus. We are sons because the spirit of our Father has come in our flesh – which is to say in our everyday physical lives.
Let’s be clear. This is Christ manifest as you, the trinity pervading your persona and being and manifesting the spirit of sonship. This is the meaning of the Lord’s Table. We live by eating Christ. Christ received into our spirit, soul and body becomes us. The glory of God is to be who He is. The glory of you is to be yourself!
THE UN-CLUTTERED YOU
‘And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit’ 2 Cor 3.18 NIV.
DON’T DULL IT WITH SPECIOUS GOSPELS
We have direct access to God. We have union with Him. We are one with heaven and each other by the One Spirit. Don’t diminish this oneness with ploys of your own, the law, religious prescriptions or ‘other gospels.’ Let’s fixate on Christ our life so as not to have the reality that is Christ in us sapped by the fiction of religion, smothered by the law or dulled by dead-works-activity. One cannot be a man or woman of God and live attached to the law. It depersonalises us and shrinks our humanity. Glory is what those captured in law of any kind do not have. Glory, uniqueness, spirit and life is not ours when we through passivity, laziness or humbug choose to live from the law and old covenant instead of Christ our life.
Any arrangement that is not Christ diminishes Father and shrouds our spirit. Our life is crippled and our identity dulled. We remain a shadow of our own glory all the while living in the illusion that we are glorifying God. But when Christ is our life, His glory is you revealed in spirit and in truth. As David Kowalick declares, ‘Glory is all about unveiled reality.’
Christ in you is the hope and present reality of the life of Christ unfolding in you.
